Pelican Beach is built by the people in it. We are looking for citizens who want to run a business: a car workshop first, and other shops and jobs as the city grows.
What a shop owner does
- Each business has its own staff, its own bank account and its own boss. The owner is the boss.
- The boss hires and fires, sets ranks and checks the account. In a workshop the boss also puts in the money for parts.
- Customers pay by invoice, and the money goes straight into the business account.
- You run the business as a role: keep the shop open, treat customers well and build a reputation.
What we are looking for
- Car workshops (like Benny's and Chop Shop) and tuning shops.
- Shops and other businesses as they open. Tell us what you want to build.
- Future jobs and ideas: if you have an idea for a job the city needs, we want to hear it.
What we expect
- Be active, and keep the business open at times when people can use it.
- Play it fair: treat customers and staff with respect, and follow the rules.
- Do not abuse the account or the power of the boss.
- Stay in character, and tell good stories.
How to apply
- Open a ticket in our Discord and choose the shop owner category.
- Write a short text: your character, the business you want to run, why you, and when you play.
- Tell us if you have run a business on another server, but that is not required.
- We read it, we may ask a few questions, and we tell you what happens next.
After you are approved
- We set up the business, and you get the boss job.
- You hire your first staff, and the business is open.
- We may check in as the business grows.
