Who we are
Pelican Beach Roleplay is a roleplay server for FiveM run by a small team of volunteers. This page explains what information the website and the game server handle, and why.

This website
The website is a static site. It has no accounts, no forms, no comments and no cookies, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel handles technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, the page you ask for and your browser type, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use this information to identify you. See Vercel's privacy policy.
All pictures and fonts are served from our own site. We do not load content from other companies.
Links to other sites
The site links to Discord and FiveM. When you follow a link, the other service has its own privacy policy and rules.
The game server
When you connect to the server, the server sees your IP address and the identifiers that FiveM provides, such as your licence and your username.
To run the game we store data tied to your identifiers and characters: your characters and their details, inventory, money, vehicles, homes, skills and progress.
We keep logs of events in the game, such as purchases, loans, admin actions and suspicious activity, so that we can run the game fairly, solve problems and handle reports and bans.
Voice chat works through the game and is not recorded by us. If you send a clip with a report, we use it only for that report.
We use this data only to run the server and keep it safe and fair. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep your game data for as long as you play on the server, and for a reasonable time after, so that your characters are there if you come back.
Logs and ban records are kept as long as we need them for security and fairness.
You can ask us to delete your data. Some records, such as a ban, may need to be kept to protect the community.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it and ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it.
If you live in the EU or Norway, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In Norway that is Datatilsynet.
Security
We limit who can see the data, and we use access rules and logs for the staff. No system is perfect, and if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Changes
We may change this page when the server or the law changes. The date below shows when it last changed.
